What is the difference between a recumbent and an upright exercise bike?

A recumbent bike has a seat with a backrest and pedals positioned in front of you. An upright bike uses a more conventional cycling position, with the pedals beneath the rider. Your preferred seating position is an important part of choosing between them.

Can different family members use the Horizon 5.0R?

The seat adjusts horizontally to accommodate different pedalling reaches. Each user should adjust the seat before riding and remain within the 136 kg maximum user weight.

Do I need a fitness app to use the bike?

No. You can train using the console and its five built-in programmes. Connecting an app is an optional way to add workout variety.

Does the bike have a touchscreen?

The Horizon 5.0R has a backlit LCD console. Connected app workouts use your own compatible phone or tablet.

Can Zwift automatically change the resistance?

No. Horizon states that resistance must be adjusted manually during Zwift ERG workouts.

How much floor space does it occupy?

The assembled bike measures approximately 168 cm long and 64 cm wide, with a height of 133 cm. Allow additional space around it for access and comfortable use.

Is this a commercial exercise bike?

The Horizon 5.0R is intended for domestic use. For a shared gym, hotel or commercial facility, choose a model specifically rated for that environment.
