What is a recumbent exercise bike?
A recumbent bike places the rider in a supported seated position with the pedals positioned in front of the body rather than directly underneath. This creates a different riding position from an upright exercise bike.

The 590R provides 25 levels of magnetic resistance.  

Does the Schwinn 590R work with Zwift?
Yes. Schwinn lists the 590R as compatible with Zwift through a connected phone or tablet. A separate subscription may be required.

Yes. The 590R is compatible with the JRNY training platform. Full JRNY functionality requires a membership.  

Does the Schwinn 590R support Bluetooth FTMS?
Yes. It provides full FTMS Bluetooth connectivity, rather than the partial FTMS implementation on the lower 510R.

Yes. Watts are displayed on the console, and Schwinn specifies Class A watt precision.   Global

The maximum recommended user weight is 150 kg.  

Is the seat adjustable?
Yes. The 590R has an adjustable padded and ventilated seat designed to provide additional comfort during longer sessions.  

Does it have Bluetooth speakers?
Yes. Fitshop lists Bluetooth speakers along with USB charging, a media shelf and cooling fan.  

Does the Schwinn 590R require electricity?
Yes. Schwinn specifies compatibility with standard 110V/220V electrical outlets, with a power cord included.
